Crossing the border…and its not Mexico!

It has been a while since i have posted to my site. The reason for that is two fold: new city and new job.

I am in transition: new phase of life in a new city. Well sorta new city. Back in college I landed a summer internship with consulting giant Accenture.I learned everything about EBITDA and EBITA, profit loss, balance sheets, credits and debits.Fun skills that were no way related to my major (Engineering). I also experienced the late nights because of worked dumped off from senior managers and last minute additions and changes to proposals.

Atlanta now is a city in transition. Coca-Cola has moved. Braves and Falcons are moving to new stadiums. New MLS team coming, and the Beltline.

New Job

After moving, I landed a new job working as a network engineer.  It is has been a great opportunity and nice change of pace from the government contracting space. Working full time as part of the network engineering team boosted my confidence and lifted the fog on what I expected network engineering to be. I can now agree there is a difference between being paper certified versus experience certified.
